This case study, written before the acquisition of Nokia by Microsoft, represents a great example of optimizing maintenance costs in tough economic times. Siveco’s first encounter with Nokia was during the company’s heydays, when the LEED Gold certified Nokia Beijing campus was the center of attention in the Facilities Management community.

Siveco China has been selected to provide maintenance consulting services and to setup the bluebee® facilities management solution for a major public buildings rehabilitation program in Wuhan, the capital of Hubei province.

This article features the Standard Reports Library of our CMMS Coswin, an optional package which can be purchased and used immediately. The development of these standard reports derived from International Standard for Maintenance (EN 15341 – Maintenance – Maintenance Key Performance Indicators) combined with Siveco consultants’ experience in the past 30 years.

On November 21-23, the Siveco team went to Huangshan, one of the ten best-known scenic spots in China, and Hongcun, a beautiful place for escaping work and relaxing, located in Anhui province. The three-day trip (including Friday) was the longest and farthest traveled as a Siveco weekend outing.

On October 23 and 24, the Siveco Chengdu office received an engineer from Cofely Gient Energy Management (Chongqing) for joint testing of the latest release of our mobile solution bluebee®. As our GM Bruno was also in town at that time, we treated our customer to nice local food and had a good time.

It is a great pleasure and honor for me to write this month’s editorial. A Siveco China veteran, with almost 7 years of service, I been in charge of the “Maintenance in China” newsletter since its very first issue in 2010.
