It is a great pleasure and honor for me to write this month’s editorial. A Siveco China veteran, with almost 7 years of service, I been in charge of the “Maintenance in China” newsletter since its very first issue in 2010.

From time to time, we come across customers who have read market surveys from very famous market analysts, usually American companies such as the Gartner Group, ARC Advisory Group and the likes.

A subsidiary of the SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT group, Degrémont has been the world water treatment specialist for more than 70 years. Operating in more than 70 countries with over 5,000 employees, Degrémont generated revenues of €1,110 million in 2013.

Degrémont, a subsidiary of SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT, is teaming up with Siveco China, China’s largest maintenance consultancy, to provide maintenance improvement services for water treatment plants.

For multisite technical service suppliers, the bluebee® facilities management system is often used as a communication tool with clients or even as a marketing tool to showcase the company’s capability.

Siveco China’s General Manager Bruno Lhopiteau paid a visit to our customer Saint-Gobain Proppants in Guanghan, Sichuan province. The plant, producing ceramic proppants for the oil & gas drilling market, started production in 2006. It employs 50 people in the maintenance team.
