As a French and also Siveco tradition, our Shanghai team celebrated the Feast of the Epiphany, also known as the Three Kings Festival on January 6. To celebrate the visit of the Three Magi to baby Jesus, the team gathered to share the ”galette des rois” (kings’ cake), and wine. Whoever finds the trinket in the cake is crowned king for the day. This year, we had the pleasure of welcoming two queens, Shirley and Amy!

On December 23, the Siveco China team held its traditional Christmas party. The theme this year was “Journey to the West” meets Bollywood! We had several Bollywood stars, Priest Tangseng and his disciples, Bull Demon King (and foxy lady demon!), Spider Monsters, Erlang Shen and other monsters in the famous Journey to the West legend. The party was such a fun with Indian buffet, costumes and… a surprise dance show by the Four Beauties from “India”!

This year the Siveco China team goes west for the holiday season! There are several reasons for us to walk in the legendary steps of Tang Seng and his disciples journeying to India. First of all, our business has expanded considerably outside of China in the past few years, into many Asian countries and as far as Africa. Second, traveling from Shanghai, west is the right way to go to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ! Last but not least, this gave us a very exciting theme for our traditional costumed Christmas party!
