The Smart O&M project implemented by Siveco for Nangang petroleum storage has entered its fifth year of operation. Making full use of the maintenance management system put in place before startup, the maintenance team of Nangang terminal insists on the maintenance summary meeting at the end of each month and analyzes the work situation of the month by using the standard report defined by Siveco. Siveco & LLVISION jointly release bluebee® for smart glasses with embedded remote support

In 2017, Siveco started working with smart glasses supplier LLVISION at the bluebee® lab in Shanghai, aiming to develop wearable solutions that would make use of the glasses true ergonomic design and edge computing capability, for Operation & Maintenance purposes. This led in early 2019 to the first release of bluebee® for smart glasses, a standard plug-in for the bluebee® maintenance and inspection app, already widely used among Siveco customers. The functionalities are automatically enabled when the mobile phone detects the presence of the glasses. Welcome to our Summer 2020 newsletter! Our tradition is to keep it lazy and brief, knowing that our full newsletter will return in September. I will take this chance to reflect on the first half year from my holidays in Sichuan’s Qingcheng mountains. There is little doubt that 2020 is one of toughest years ever… Some companies froze in their tracks, but many others launched transformation plans to address their needs, both immediate (remote support for instance) and long-term (reduce costs, risks and create new revenue streams).
