Companies trying to implement World Class Manufacturing (WCM) or Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) or Lean Manufacturing in China, usually as a part of a corporate roll-out, face specific challenges, which may differ from those observed in Japan or in the West.

The film demonstrates how Siveco solutions support the implementation of the maintenance strategy defined by Baosteel Packaging, with comprehensive and standardized business processes at working level and at management level, based on Coswin 8i and bluebee®.

As part of their WCM, Lean or TPM approach, some of our customers follow the 5W+1H (“5 Whys and 1 How”) process, or similar methodologies, to help identify the root causes of failures. This process can be supported, and all related information recorded, in a tab of the Coswin work order, to ensure the process is systematically followed and to allow systematic analysis of failures.

Building information modelling (BIM) refers to the development of tridimensional digital representations of facilities. With proven benefits in design and construction, BIM is becoming mandatory for environmental infrastructures all over the world. Demand is now growing to extend its usage to Operation & Maintenance (O&M).

In this project, the wastewater company adopted the latest technology of Siveco’s Smart O&M solutions including the mobile app for maintenance management. All technical data, work orders, work instructions and reports, etc. are stored in the back-office system. The system generates work tasks or work orders from predefined strategy, plans and frequencies. The work orders will be displayed on the user’s PC dashboard, according to the specified date, which is very intuitive.
