Seafood, lava beaches, great friends… our Beihai trip for the Mid-Autumn Festival

On September 15, the Siveco team took the plane to Beihai for 4 days of travel during the Mid-Autumn Festival. Beihai is located in the south of Guangxi Region, and is famous for pearls and seafood.

We arrived late in the evening and were lucky to taste local seafood, fresh and delicious. After the big seafood meal, we went back to the hotel to rest, looking forward to the next day’s trip.

The next morning, the sun was shining. We headed to Beihai Silver Beach with great spirits. Soft sand, the blue sea melting into the sky, we walked on the beach, enjoying the waves on our feet. With some luck, you could pick shells or crabs. We sat under the sun, enjoying the slow day.

We spent the following two days on Weizhou Island, formed by volcanic eruptions. With rich marine resources, the 25 square kilometers island, surrounded by the South China Sea, also abounds with bananas. All things there still retain the beauty of nature.

First we took the glass-bottom speedboat to watch colorful corals and fish. We then visited the Catholic Cathedral, built in 1853 by French missionaries, made of coral sedimentary rocks from the sea bottom. Finally we walked up Crocodile Mountain, the most beautiful mountain on the island, with its lava beaches: when you stand on the rock, you can see the boundless sea and seagulls fly in the sky… The evening was dedicated to more seafood and parties in the quiet seaside town!

The last day was spent traveling back to Beihai then Shanghai in the late evening. Although nobody wanted to leave, there has been much fun for us to memorize.
