In this issue, we are pleased to share the results of our 2017 Maintenance in China survey. With 493 respondents, this 5th edition of the survey, conducted with Shanghai University’s Sino-European School of Technology, is by far the largest of its kind in China.

I am pleased to write this editorial, at the end of a very busy first quarter 2017. I will keep it short, as our newsletter content is very dense this month. Just after the Chinese New Year holiday, the Siveco management team went to Tianma Country Club in Sheshan for the 2-day yearly business review. The meeting was held in a large villa and consisted in presentations by department manager followed by fruitful discussions. One of the key topics we reviewed was the 2016 Customer Satisfaction Survey.

I would like to wish you and your family happiness, health and prosperity in the Year of the Rooster! For us at Siveco, family comes first, which is why we chose to greet you with a chicken family! The Siveco China business I founded in 2004 has grown a lot. 2016 was a good year for us, with 50% growth in contract value and significant increase in profit.

It’s the time of the year I would not want to miss, with its many Siveco traditions, starting with the costumed Christmas Party! This year we went “Jianghu” in true Siveco epic fashion, dressed as colorful characters of ancient times… 2016 took our courageous heroes across China and around the world on the Silk Road.

We decided to publish the November 2016 issue on the theme of “Maintenance 4.0” in magazine format, with printed copies and pdf versions available to subscribers.
