Summer Edition: The Swimsuit Spectacular issue that wasn’t

Dear Readers,

I know some of our readers were hoping for a “Swimsuit Spectacular” issue with the bluebee® girls and our shapely Siveco girls (good recruitment policies we have here), unfortunately our editorial team (those shapely girls I was talking about) prefers to run a more traditional (boring) half-year recap… So here we go:

The first half of the year wasn’t bad at all, with new deals in various industries and good sales numbers. We have announced most (not all, as some customers prefer we don’t communicate on them) new deals in the Latest News section of our website. Most deals use our bluebee® solutions and combine maintenance engineering services with software support. Existing customers also represent a major source of revenue, especially large multisite clients like International Paper, Carrefour, Sino French Water, etc. Our team has grown, our Chengdu office has moved to a better location and we have opened small branch offices in Beijing and Hongkong, the latter to better target Southeast Asia.

A big thank to all our new customers sites:

We now have an astounding 700+ client sites all over China, plus a dozen in Southeast Asia…

After so many years in this business, I still talk to a lot of people who know us only from the CMMS angle and are amazed to hear that the majority of our deals are maintenance improvement projects, with or without system (a CMMS, designed with Chinese needs in mind, is still the perfect tool to make “consulting” more tangible and sustainable). For this reason, we have decided not to write any new article for this summer issue of the newsletter; instead we will republish existing articles and news, all focused on maintenance services rather than CMMS. Talk to us for your maintenance needs, not just for CMMS! Do not hesitate to refer business to us, to recommend us to your people you know in the industry!

The reprinted articles for this summer newsletter include a popular Reliability piece on maintenance assessment. The Customer story covers our long-term project with Daramic, a maker of battery separators. The Partner article describes our service capability with a local partner in Sichuan. Finally, Tips & Tricks features the bluebee® solution.

We hope you enjoy this newsletter and enjoy a great summer!

Bruno Lhopiteau
General Manager
Siveco China

PS: the bluebee® girls may not have made it to the newsletter, but they will attend the 10th Process Industry Engineering & Maintenance Congress in Shanghai on September 10 and 11.
