Video Case Study: bluebee® X helps welding material leader achieve Best Practices in Plant Maintenance
The Suzhou plant of an international welding material leader has partnered with Siveco China to implement the bluebee® X Smart Operation and Maintenance solution, achieving tangible maintenance improvement through digital transformation.
After several years of technical and operational improvement in the Suzhou plant, where emphasis was put on machine improvement, operator’s involvement and visual management, a strong culture has been established with a manual and paper-based system. The plant management team has identified possible maintenance improvements in particular a more systematic reporting of failures – impact, cause, action – that would allow the team to analyze performance, identify recurring problems, based on which to improve the Preventive Maintenance activities and monitor their implementation.
The project started with a maintenance assessment, followed by 5 steps based on the ISO55000 Asset Management standard. For each step, consulting services and training was provided, with support from the bluebee® X Smart Operation & Maintenance platform.
In this video case study, the maintenance manager and his team demonstrate a refined management model based on the bluebee® X platform and mobile applications, showcasing an efficient transition from traditional paper records to digital management. This shift not only improves the integrity of maintenance records and the efficiency of routine inspections but also enhances equipment operation efficiency, reduces downtime, and effectively lowers costs associated with labor, spare parts, and energy consumption. The video highlights the key role of Smart O&M in enhancing corporate competitiveness and promoting sustainable development.
