COSWIN: Stock Management

The availability of parts is essential for a well-run maintenance department. Stock-outs or non-availability of essential spares means high costs, in terms of lost operations, environmental factors or even health & safety. COSWIN Stock is a powerful module used by many companies not only for maintenance but for their inventory management of all their materials. Whether for a simple store or a multi-site environment, with multiple currencies, many suppliers, one or several points of delivery, COSWIN has the answer. Good inventory management is about anticipation: COSWIN gives you the full range of tools for reserving parts or kits (lists of parts) for work orders, calculating demand, and suggesting economic order quantities, according to multiple criteria (supplier delivery performance, issues…).

COSWIN Stock is perfectly integrated with COSWIN Maintenance and you can tell instantly where else a given part is installed on what equipment, in fact from one screen you can tell everything you need about a given stock item you need to know about a given stock item.

① COSWIN Stock is multi-organisational and thanks to the n-tier architecture the sites can be wherever you require them to be ② Each stock item one or many locations which are physical, defined by its store, within the store the bin, to which a batch can be attached and finally the serial number of the item ③ Stock items are received into stores and can be Inspected or directly placed into a location or ④ can be retained in Inspection and then placed in a location ⑤ the location can be another store ⑥ Reservations can be made from the released work order (see Job Life Cycle) ⑦ Issues can be made in a number of ways, either to a work order, or to a cost centre, or with COSWIN Mobile the technician can indicate stock consumption and later synchronize with COSWIN. In other words, using the stores at night with no-one present is not a problem ⑧ Returns are made in the same way, that is items that are not used in the course of maintenance can be returned.
