The East Dream value-added
This strong track record allows East Dream to provide value-added services together with Siveco in industries where Siveco, while having prestigious international references, itself may lack local experience and delivery capability.
While East Dream’s traditional scope of supply has been on automation technology and its application (SCADA, BAS, MES), after years of experience in the field, the company has gained a deep understanding of the market’s requirements in terms of maintenance (of automation systems and then on the plant itself) and energy management. In this regard, it is complementary with Siveco’s offering, which combined can provide customers with fully integrated solutions from control and monitoring to maintenance management.
Based on this complementarity, Siveco and East Dream have decided to jointly promote and implement solutions to provide enhanced value-added to local customers, based on some key concepts.
1. Preparing maintenance from the construction stage
From the early design of SCADA systems, it is necessary to integrate the future needs, for example to avoid over-reliance on the technology supplier because of over-automation, to structure the systems to allow smooth data integration between SCADA and the CMMS, and to collect critical maintenance data from equipment suppliers in order to populate the CMMS database. This approach, developed by Siveco China, has seldom been applied in domestic projects.
2. Integration CMMS and SCADA, BAS and MES
A recurring topic for Siveco, the integration of process automation and the maintenance system is a key tool to give operators, maintenance personnel and the management an overall understanding of plant management, i.e. the overall process and the impact of individual work on the company’s output. East Dream, familiar with both automation and maintenance, is uniquely positioned to deliver this value to customers.
3. Extended project delivery capability
Dream extends Siveco’s own delivery capability, focused on maintenance management consulting and the deployment of the CMMS, with its own expert resources: technical specialists in automation, IT and specific industrial processes. Through the partnership, Siveco gains delivery capability in more industries and with a wider geographical coverage, thus opening new business opportunities.
Working together
The excellent complementarity between the two companies, in terms of product range, skills and target markets will bring immediate value to both Siveco and East Dream customers. The two partners’ teams are working closely together to bring this message to the market and deliver the first joint projects. Readers should expect to hear more from this and other VAPP local partners in the coming issues!
