Why Coswin 8i
Coswin 8i was released earlier this year by Siveco Group, a major update of Siveco’s historical product Coswin, a plant maintenance solution famed for its user-friendliness and flexibility. Coswin, drawing on close to 30 years of experience in maintenance management, underwent a complete overhaul to benefit from the most recent web technologies.
Coswin 8i is a comprehensive solution for Computer Maintenance Management (CMMS) and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) designed to improve maintenance management and optimize equipment performance. Coswin 8i helps reduce procurement costs and stock levels, improve maintenance staff productivity and ensure compliance with regulations.
Coswin 8i has exactly the same philosophy and functional scope as Coswin 7i: existing Coswin users will easily adjust to the new version, while benefiting from a vastly improved user interface:
• Accessible from any web browser, no installation, no Java required, no IT support required on users’ PC
• Easy integration into the corporate IT system (interfaces, web services, single sign-on, etc.)
• Available in SaaS mode on Siveco’s fully-managed Ali Cloud platform, thus eliminating all IT support needs
• Intuitive and innovative user interface, allowing users to get started faster and to work more efficiently

Coswin 8i also retains Coswin 7i’s well-known customization capability: whereas most CMMS/EAM systems rely on software development to adjust the user interface and functional enhancements, Coswin was designed with built-in customization tools known as Resource Editor and the Free Modules. Coswin tools open many possibilities, without writing a single line of code, thus avoiding bugs and future upgrade problems. Finally the Diagram Editor allows customers to design graphical user interfaces for different user roles, for example based on plant layout drawings or P&IDs. All these well-known Coswin features have been modernized and further improved in Coswin 8i.
Coswin 8i started deployment for pilot customers in Europe at the end of 2013 and has already been implemented with half-a-dozen clients of Siveco China (as of September 2014).
Our Siveco China team is available to study your CMMS/EAM requirements and, for existing Coswin users, to discuss the opportunity to upgrade to Coswin 8i. Contact us at info@sivecochina.com or call our hotline 4006-300-213.
