This article is based on an interview of our GM Bruno Lhopiteau, a leading figure in the Chinese utility maintenance market, by magazine Control Engineering China, in which Bruno shares his experience in the power industry and explains its relevance to other process plants.

Sustainable Development is often all about design, choice of material, equipment and systems, construction… usually in view of obtaining a green certification for your building. The operation and maintenance aspects remain largely ignored, in spite of their significant impact on operating expenses and the lifetime of the building.

This article is based on studies conducted by our project team for customers already using a CMMS (COSWIN, Maximo or SAP PM), with a focus on replacing the paper-based process typically used: printing of work orders for dispatch to technicians, notes taken on paper and final input by a “CMMS secretary” or equivalent.

With the help of its technology partners, Siveco China has built the first cloud computing Facility Management / Risk Prevention (FM/RP) platform available on the Chinese market. This article provides an overview of this solution, already in use or being implemented by large property owners/operators.

Risk prevention should be a priority after the Shanghai blaze. How can another disaster be avoided? The 15 November blaze in Shanghai put risk prevention in the spotlight. Unlike mining accidents and other industrial mishaps, this was a tragedy that everyone could relate to; a fire that killed 58 middle-class denizens in a downtown residential building.
