Supporting customers with Open Class webinars
In previous newsletters, we shared our actions during the COVID-19 crisis, first in our Safe Office, Safe Business announcement, then looking at first lessons and reporting on our management team’s whereabouts. Siveco China’s Customer Service department has, from the very beginning, been at the forefront of this battle.
As COVID-19 hit the world just before Chinese New Year in January, Siveco China support services continued through the holidays to help ensure our customer’s normal operation. Our support engineers contacted every customer, enquiring as to their situation and providing technical help as needed. Particular attention was paid to clients managing essential infrastructures and to Key Accounts. Siveco’s full company operation resumed at the beginning of February. At the same time, in order to protect the health and safety of all involved, the support team decided to hold the next “Open Class” in the form of a webinar.
For several years already, Siveco runs free Open Class training for customers under Enhanced Maintenance Support contract. These sessions, usually held at the Siveco office, have been widely praised by clients as they allow technical personnel to share experience with their counterparts from other companies, around a Smart O&M topic.
The first such webinar was about “Optimizing reports usage — Simple report development training (Crystal Report)”, held in two half-day sessions in February, aimed at CMMS administrators, key users and business intelligence / report development engineers. The webinar combined multimedia teaching, interactive communication and case analysis, followed by extensive Q&A sessions. 12 representatives from 10 different companies joined the webinar.
Siveco also recorded the entire training so that attendees can watch it repeatedly. According to the satisfaction survey collected after the session, most attendees gave positive feedback, consider it helpful to their work and provided valuable suggestions to improve our webinars.
Since the COVID-19 epidemic is not over yet, Siveco will arrange a second Open Class webinar on the same topic of Optimizing report usage but focused on our other, more powerful, reporting tool FineReport. The sessions will take place in the afternoons of May 13 and 14. The webinar will cover how to design simple FineReport reports and how to modify existing lists or template reports.
The Siveco China Customer Service team will continue to hold open training classes to help customers use our solutions better and exchange best practices and insights with peers. We believe that this crisis will not stop the progress of improvement and that the online training will not distance us, on the contrary. We hope to meet you at the next Siveco online training soon!
