Summer activities around Predictive Maintenance for Siveco and friends
In this hot summer, the Siveco China team met many friends and joined exciting activities focused on a hot topic indeed: Big Data and AI for predictive maintenance. Unfortunately no beaches, no bikinis for us, but good fun all the same! Here are a few highlights and snapshots!
In the end of June, Siveco arranged a workshop with the Suez Recycling & Recovery management team for an in-depth exchange on Smart O&M and the latest technologies used in practice. All Suez R&R sites in Asia are using our technologies, usually implemented from the construction stage, resulting in huge amounts of data suitable for machine learning. The other hot topic was BIM for Asset Management, which Siveco Shanghai R&D has been working on since 2012, already implemented on a Suez site in Hong Kong. After the meeting we enjoyed a small celebration with cheese and wine afterwards.
In early July, a Siveco team of Smart O&M specialists attended Smart Maintenance Conference 2019, a leading cross-industry conference covering the solutions for Automotive, Aircraft, Petrochemical and Metalworking. Artificial Intelligence was again the main topic, many vendors presenting their dream-like solutions that will forever change how industrial plants are managed, unfortunately with no concrete examples or references in China. Siveco’s presentation was in sharp contrast, focusing on practical advice by an industry veteran, who drew a realistic picture based on Chinese case studies! More detailed feedback will be published in next month’s issue.
In the middle of July, Siveco team was invited to the Alibaba Cloud Summit as the global partner of Alibaba Cloud. The theme was how to help multinational companies achieve best landing and growth by providing Chinese advanced technology. One month earlier, Siveco was invited to the VDMA Flagship Industrie 4.0 B2B Conference, in which a speaker from Alibaba Cloud introduced the Siveco-Alibaba joint solution: bluebee® is already integrated in the Alibaba Cloud ecosystem, in particular to make use of its AI capability. At the same time, more and more Siveco global clients use Alibaba services to ensure cross-continental connectivity for their global Smart O&M or CMMS.
In late July, the representatives from Siveco Hellas (Greece) and Siveco China attended the Go Live ceremony at Shanghai Hitec Plastics, a joint venture of Greek company Plastika Kritis Group. The Siveco Hellas team was also warmly welcomed at the Siveco Shanghai office for friendly discussions around bluebee®, the innovative mobile solutions developed at the Shanghai R&D center which is world-widely used as the base of predictive maintenance and business development discussions on the Belt & Road.
From July 31 to August 2, a team of managers from Hyundai Electric in Korea visited the Siveco Shanghai office and our customer Carrefour China to exchange on Siveco Smart O&M approach for New Energy projects. Siveco works closely with sister company Hyundai Engineering on major combined-cycled power plant projects around the world. With a need to build a predictive maintenance solution for its plants, Hyundai Electric was taken through all the steps, starting with the fundamentals, around ISO 55000, to mobility and IoT to ensure comprehensive data collection, to analytics and intelligence, with the brilliant showcase of Carrefour China COS.
Thanks a lot to everyone for visiting us and exchanging perspectives about Smart O&M on the Belt & Road! We hope you enjoyed our summer snapshots!
