Open Class on Coswin 8i administrator training
On September 7th, Siveco China organized a free Open Class training for customers under enhanced maintenance support contract. Since Open Classes have been launched, they have been widely praised by customers. This course proved very popular with a total of 13 representatives from 8 companies, including: Saint-Gobain Pipelines, Nanchang Shuanggang Water Supply, Essilor Shanghai, SAIC Magneti Marelli Powertrain, Everbright SITA Solid Waste Treatment (Changzhou), as well as compatriots from Hong Kong and Macau: Companhia de Sistemas de Resíduos Lda. (CSR), the West New Territories (WENT) Landfill and Suez Recycling and Recovery Asia Collection & Transfer Stations. All attendees actively participated in this training. Operations Director Guillaume Gimonet and Customer Service Manager Sunny Wang conducted the session.
The theme of the session was “Simplified Coswin Administrator Training”. The morning course gave a general introduction to Coswin, followed by how to create a Coswin account for new employees and how to add and adjust user group permissions. After lunch, the course demonstrated how to deal with the accounts of the departing employees and went on to explain how to use the Resource & Diagram Editors to configure the system’s user interface, create graphical navigation pages and the Coswin 8i home page. As part of the training, some technical tips were given to help improve the efficiency of system usage.
At last, Siveco China Operations Director Guillaume Gimonet gave a brief overview of how to build an asset database in line with the ISO 55000 international standard, including how to define asset information, asset criticality and the benefits of such definitions. This part of the Open Class was based on Siveco’s new online training platform bluehoney, an online maintenance management program designed for the Chinese situation and adapted to Chinese maintenance staff. For more information about bluehoney, please see the official website.
The training ended smoothly and the clients also provided valuable suggestions for our future Open Classes. Siveco will continue to organize such free courses to help users get more benefit from the CMMS and to encourage exchange of practical experience between clients from different horizons in the form of brainstorming, teaching and learning!
