A wild Siveco China costume party to welcome the Tiger year!
On Jan 21, 2022, the entire Siveco China team gathered at Radisson Yangtze Shanghai for our costume party cum annual dinner. Siveco China members dressed up in all sorts of mismatched costumes under the theme “anything goes” chosen by our Managing Director… Teams had prepared great entertainment for the party showcasing their various skills – or lack thereof – for everyone’s pleasure! Judy Wang and Shanliang were our hosts for the night. Here is a short summary of this wild evening!
It all started with the mandatory group photos (as a rule, they must be taken early in the night, before everything gets out of control)! To welcome the Year of the Tiger, our motley crew did imitations of roaring tigers…
Everyone then took his seat, while our Managing Director, Bruno Lhopiteau started his opening speech, sincerely thanking everyone for their hard work and excellent results obtained during such uncertain times. 2021 turned out to be even better than 2020 and new deals were signed in December and January, an important, positive, indicator for 2022’s business!
Then the show started, as excellent Chinese dishes were being served. As the talented performers drew all our attention, waiters had to repeatedly remind us to eat… Our sales team’s band did a brilliant job kicking off the evening with their musical talents!
As the evening went on, our Finance and Admin Director, Windy performed a magic show with members from three departments. Afterwards, new project and support staffs, for which this was the first Siveco China annual dinner, sang a couple of beautiful songs.
Throughout the dinner, the admin team has arranged a variety of games, maintaining constant excitement. During breaks, Bruno awarded the traditional trophies and gold bars to six members who have worked with us for more than 5 years, expressing heartfelt appreciation for their dedication and loyalty. These were emotional moments for some of us in the Siveco China family!
Finally, came the “funny circus”, consisting of the marketing, admin, R&D team and Bruno joining up in a brilliantly absurd (some say absurdly brilliant) number involving multiple skills (some say no skill at all was involved, at that point of the evening, it was hard to tell).
The evening was far from over but we dare not tell the whole story. At one point, Alex from R&D took the stage for an impromptu speech, demonstrating his public speaking ability and immediately getting job offers from the sales department. Department leaders went from one table to another for toasting, thanking team members with various wines. A few people were witnessed actually discussing business issues, promptly scolded by our Managing Director. Some were already planning an after-party. Amidst laughs and cries, we also missed those colleagues who could not attend, in particular our dear Sunny.
The entire Siveco China team again enjoyed a happy and fantastic night! We wished each other a happy, healthy, and prosperous new year!
