My main theme was \u201cSiveco China on the Silk Road\u201d, as our EPC business is taking us from Korea in the East to as far as Algeria in the West! Siveco enjoys a very strong presence on the African continent, thanks to a network of local partners built in the past 30 years. The site is not far from Algiers (incidentally in the same town where the Orangina drink was invented).<\/div>\n<p><\/br><\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\" style=\"width: 465px; height: 350px;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/newsletter.bluebeecloud.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Boufarik.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"460\" height=\"345\" \/><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Tunis meeting was also the chance to review some of our recent projects in the region:<\/div>\n<p><\/br><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify; padding-left:40px;\">&#8211; Nine ongoing gas turbine power plants (total over 10GW capacity!) built by Korean and Turkish EPC companies in Algeria, all managed by Siveco Shanghai team for CMMS data preparation and installation onsite with our local Algerian partner.<br \/>\n&#8211; The Amman Queen Alia International Airport in Jordan, where all the airport infrastructures are managed with Coswin 8i.<br \/>\n&#8211; Two dual fuel (diesel and gas) power plants in Lebanon, where Siveco has been supporting three different international operators.<br \/>\n&#8211; Two major gas pipeline projects, the Greenstream pipeline from Libya to Italy, and the Trans-Tunisian Gas Pipeline, both operated by Italian joint-ventures.<br \/>\n&#8211; Two Tunisian wind farms, our CMMS ensuring know-how transfer from wind turbine maker Gamesa to the owner Tunisian power company STEG.\n<\/div>\n<p><\/br><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Various power projects in Africa were also discussed, as we are trying to leverage our strong African presence and the growing activity of Chinese and Korean EPCs in the region. Siveco is in the unique position to be able to support engineering activities in Asia and to deliver onsite in the local language. Siveco\u2019s other unique feature is to combine maintenance engineering and CMMS in the same contract, while our competitors need to involve several suppliers (at least two, often more), creating additional risks for their client.
