On November 4, the French Eco-City Club in China, which gathers leading companies involved in sustainable urban development, held its general assembly, followed by a public seminar on the theme of \u201cSolutions for a Low-Carbon City\u201d. Siveco China chose to support the event as main sponsor, to showcase the company\u2019s long involvement in the Chinese environmental and energy market.<\/div>\n

 <\/br><\/p>\n

Siveco China has been an active member of the Eco-City Club since its creation. Bruno Lhopiteau, Managing Director, took part in the general assembly together with representatives from major French infrastructure companies such as EDF, Suez, Veolia, Keolis, AREP etc. and French Embassy officials. The purpose of the meeting was to agree on the club\u2019s directions and define activities for the coming year.<\/div>\n

The \u201cSolutions for a Low-Carbon City\u201d conference that followed was aimed at decision makers from Chinese utilities, municipal governments and companies, and leaders of the French community in China. French Minister Counsellor for Economic Affairs Jean-Marc Fenet and Wuxi National High Tech Zone\u2019s Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee Hong Yanwei, opened the event. Various Chinese and French experts then explored the topic of the Low-Carbon City, with two roundtables on “A low energy city that respects the environment\u201d and \u201cAn attractive, resilient and smart city\u201d. French Ambassador Laurent Bili closed the session. The conference was followed by a cocktail and networking session around the Siveco China booth.<\/div>\n

Siveco China\u2019s presence at the event was highly visible. Managing Director Bruno Lhopiteau spoke at the general assembly and exchanged views with many old friends and clients during the networking session.<\/div>\n

A large screen displayed Siveco China\u2019s introduction and the logos of our utility customers. At the booth, our Energy EPC and Marketing teams were in attendance throughout the event. Our aim was to share real case studies in China, rather than theoretical solutions from abroad, to talk about how Siveco China has helped optimize the lifecycle of Chinese infrastructures over the past 20 years and explain how Smart O&M can support the Low-Carbon City. <\/div>\n
